SIN TO KAOHSIUNG (19/12 - 24/12/2008)
Day 1 Arrival At Kaohsiung Intl Airport (KHH) I take taxi from taxi stand to life hotel at Kaohsiung About 10 to 15 mins (NT300) Life Hotel & Resort, Kaohsiung SGD $88/night/room/incl breakfast served to y
our room Cheap & good Hotel stay! (4star but very new & well mantain & its beside a convenient store) No. 237-1, Nanhua Road, Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City. Located just opposite the Kaohsiung Railway Station and Kaohsiung Main Station (R11). Alternatively, board bus 12, Airport Line and 301 to Kaohsiung Railway Station. Nearby the hotel is the Daguangpu (Lioho/Liouhe Tourist night mkt-not much things there & food soso only).
Day 2- Day 5 places that i went:
Lotus Pond/Dragon & Tiger Pagoda (must go) (it's a Tourist attraction-must go but take a cab is recommended from R16 Zuoying stn) / FE21 MEGA shopping Mall / Kaohsiung 85 bldg/ Pacific SOGO shopping mall / Guanghua Night Mkt for dinner (slightly better than Liouhe Tourist night mkt as it's slightly bigger - its all stretch of small individual stalls selling fried pork chop/oyster mee suan/grill octopus/fruits/dumpling/a-la-carte "zi-cha")
FOGUANGSHAN > Guanghua night mkt * Dinner + Shopping (must go)
nt15-32 (15-18mins) train.The bus stop is located behind Chiu-chu-tang station. To get to the bus stop, walk towards the right as you leave the train station and walk down to the underground passageway which leads to the back of the train station. On reaching the other end of the passageway, cross the road to the bus stop which is located slightly to the right. Any bus that passes through the road will take you to Fo Guang Shan.
JANFUSHAN FANCY WORLD ( No Go)
take TzeChiang rail train > Douliou > bus/taxi > JANFUSHAN FANCY WORLD
I took taxi to janfushan NT180 (one-way). Please DO NOT GO to this theme park if you have a choice-nothing to play & it's very small ; why? only about 8-10types of ride in total only for kids 2-6 still ok but they close at 5.30pm. so U need to reach there about 10am at the entrance so u will have enough time to play.
Adult ticket is NT899 / my son 6 yrs NT350. discount ticket can be brought at their 7-11 store just before you reach janfushan its cheaper at NT599
cijin island > temple > seafood > beach >lunch cijin island > Ruiefeng night market (must
go)kaohsiung Railmain stn > Gushan ferry pier >cijin island > cultural ctr > temple > seafood > beach >lunch cijin island (seafood street ver very cheap NT100-300 per plate of dish) 3.30pm ferry back to gushan ferry pier (nt10, 15mins) > city > MRT to R14 to ruiefeng night market(very big eatery & shopping stalls & game stalls for kids too ~ best choice must go)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
